The Xbox 360 also has a detachable hard drive, the hard drive is a very important part of the Xbox 360 as it allows information to be stored. There are several uses for this, one is saving game data so that you can return to a game at a later date where you stopped playing. Another very important use of the hard drive is the ability for the Xbox 360 to use the hard drive while playing the games to store large amounts of information, this makes the games play faster and allows game developers to offer much greater depth and detail to the games.

There is one point you have to consider when you look at the specification of the Xbox 360, it is easily as powerful as most PC's that are sold but costs much less, the price of the Xbox 360 is very cheap when you consider the power that is contained inside the box. If you were to buy a PC with a similar spec to that of the Xbox 360 it would cost you many times more, then also remember that it also offers a full DVD player and you realise that the Xbox 360 is indeed very cheap.

The Xbox 360 also offers a full DVD player so that the Xbox 360 can be used to play DVD films, you need a special remote control to use the DVD player and this is included in most Xbox 360 packages but if the DVD player is important to you then make sure that you check that the remote control is present in the package that you plan to buy. The DVD player also features progressive scan technology which offers better stability and precision, this means that the Xbox 360 DVD player offers great quality DVD playback that is as good as most DVD players that can be purchased from electronics shops.

Another cool feature of the Xbox 360 is the wireless control pads, these allow you to use the control pads from anywhere in the room and mean that there will be no annoying cables strewn across the floor. The wireless control pads also offer 40 hours of play time before they need charging, when they do need charging you can use a Play & Charge wire which connects to the Xbox 360 console and charges the control pad while you are playing. The new Xbox 360 wireless control pads also offer the ability to use the headset for Xbox live wirelessly as the headset plugs into the control pad, all of this offers excellent freedom while playing your Xbox 360 games.

The other main new feature of the Xbox 360 are the removable faceplates, these faceplates allow you to change the appearance of the Xbox 360 to suit your tastes or room decor (in much the same way that mobiles phones often have removable covers). The faceplates are highly versatile and come in many styles and colours, there will also be limited edition faceplates released over time to match big game releases and other events.

So the Xbox 360 is a very impressive video games console, it offers immense power and lots of cool features such as a removable hard drive, wireless control pads, a DVD player, removable faceplates, Xbox Live support and much more, the best thing about the Xbox 360 is the power though as the games are simply stunning in their graphics and depth. If you are looking for a cheap Xbox 360 then it is best to have a good shop around, many of the online shops have cheap special offers and deals so a cheap Xbox 360 can be found.
